Faisa Loyaan

Executive Director

Faisa is a co-founder of CAN. She has previously worked with CARE Somalia as Conflict Adviser and with Saferworld as Programme Co-ordinator supporting the creation of mechanisms and structures for dialogue on development, peace and security issues between Somali non-state actors, local authorities and the international community. Faisa holds an MA in Gender Analysis in Development from the University of East Anglia, UK and accredited qualifications in linguistics and education. She is a professional gender, conflict and peace-building trainer.

Abdinasir Osman

Regional Manager

Abdinasir is CAN’s Somalia based regional programme manager and is an expert on organizational development and has a certificate in Strengthening of Civil Society-Organizations Involving Systems (SOCSIS) awarded by Oxfam Novib and the European Union, and has over 20 years of experience designing and delivering programmes in Somalia. He brings with him an extensive knowledge of and relations with Somali government institutions and civil society and has proven capacity to manage and monitor programmes ensuring their successful delivery.

Agatha Ongayo

Accounting and Administration Officer

Agatha has over 15 years’ experience in the field of Accounting and Administration management in the Non-Governmental Organisation and has joined CAN in 2016 as administrative and finance co-ordinator based in Kenya. She has previously worked in ACORD (conducting auditing and training in finance and admin officers in19 partner organisations in Africa). She also worked with ACROSS and ADESO, Kenya. She has a wide experience in preparation and monitoring of budgets, donor reporting and accountability, fund accounting, consolidating budgets, conducting internal audits, setting up internal systems and training of staff.
